Does Sondela Bed and Breakfast & Lodge have a pool?
Yes. The outdoor swimming pool is open all year, free for guests, welcomes all ages and has a shallow end.
What type of rooms can I book?
We offer double rooms, budget double rooms and family rooms, all with private bathrooms and free WiFi.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and check-out is from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Please let us know your arrival time in advance.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes. Breakfast is available on site for around €5.40 per person per day, and breakfast to go is available for early departures.
Can I park there?
Yes. Free secure private parking is available on site and no reservation is needed.
Are there rooms with a balcony?
Yes. The Double Room has a balcony with garden and pool views, plus a private hot tub.
Is WiFi available?
Free WiFi is available in all areas of the property.
Are children and pets welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome, and guests aged 17 and above are charged as adults. Cribs and extra beds are not available. Pets are not allowed.
How do I pay?
Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required, and cards are accepted at the property. Cash is not accepted. A photo ID and credit card are required at check-in.
How far is the lodge from the centre of Maletswai?
Sondela is on a quiet street close to the centre, with Aliwal North train station 850 m away and cafes within a few minutes' walk.
Are parties allowed?
Parties, events and bachelor or bachelorette parties are not allowed.
